Our water aerobics program offers 20 cardiovascular conditioning classes each week. Our Water Aerobic staff are all AEA or USWFA certified.

Water Aerobic Class Descriptions

EARLY BIRD WORKOUT. Water enthusiast will enjoy this class. It is designed to keep one young and lean. This one hour class includes Pilates, Cardio and Core Strengthening to increase balance, range of motion and energy.

AQUA BLAST. Jump right into this 90 minute aquatic fitness class (swim suits required) and build cardiovascular fitness and strength. Time is divided between aerobic exercise and stretching that is easy on joints, yet challenging enough to help you reach new fitness levels and improve range of motion. Because of the low-impact format, water aerobic classes are suitable for every age and fitness level - beginner through elite athlete.

BOGAFiT. ** Fee Based Specialty Class. BOGAFiT is an innovative fitness program that builds strength, deepens flexibility, and improves balance and coordination through a carefully selected set of movements on the FiTMAT. BOGAFiT exercises both enhance the benefits of traditional fitness movements while eliminating the harsh impacts of these exercises, creating high intensity workouts on water with low impact on your body. As there is no other training modality that can mimic the benefits of the FiTMAT, this is going to revolutionize the definition of exercise. **Please see regisration desk for details.

CARDIO/CORE BLAST. This one hour class is designed to emphasize high intensity interval training while focusing on core, toning, body mechanics and stretching.

COGNITIVE CARDIO. This class gives you a cardio workout while working the neuroplasticity of your brain, by increasing the awareness of your body's balance, coordination and stabilization. Don't give up if you don't get it in the first class, it takes a few classes to train your brain how to work this way.

CARDIO, CORE AND MORE.This class is designed to challenge your cardio pulmonary system using varying levels of intensity and to improve your core power and strength. You have the option to work in deep or shallow water, use a tether and hand bells to increase your work effort.

GOOD LIFE AEROBICS. Low impact, strength training, increased range of motion as well as working on balance all while having fun.

HIGH ENERGY CARDIO, CORE & MORE. This one hour water aerobics class is perfect for men and women alike. It is intense enough for the physically fit while it also can be enjoyed by the beginner. A variety of movements and rhythms are used to tone, strengthen and enhance muscle groups.

HIIT THE WATER!. An intense class designed for those who wish to obtain a cardio workout while using the natural resistance of the water to help increase strength, power, endurance and range of motion. The first 30 minutes is High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) designed to challenge the Cardio Respiratory System, and the second half of the class challenges the muscles of the body with exercises specifically focusing on core power and control. Participants are encouraged to be suspended in the water wearing flotation belts to challenge balance and movements in all planes of motion.

HYDRO HIIT. High Intensity Interval Training is performed in the water, blasting fat and increasing heart rate when low to moderate exercises are alternated with high intensity intervals. We welcome all fitness levels that want a hard workout in a low impact environment. Easy on the joints, while building up a good sweat

MUSCLE CONDITIONING. This cardio, core and strength class combines intervals of high and low intensity. This is a fun muscle conditioning and cardio endurance class for all levels of fitness. Feel stronger and more energized!

WA NOT FOR THE LIGHT HEARTED. The weekend will not be complete until you stop by the MAC aquatic center for a complete body workout. This class is a 90 minute high intensity and core water movement class. Various pieces of equipment are utilized during this class to challenge you and improve your health

WATER WALKING. This water resistance class will provide muscular toning, strengthening, balance and coordination. This is a true 45 minute Rehabilitation workout. Non—swimmers are welcome.

SEASONAL BOOT CAMPS. ** Fee Based Specialty Class. This intense 45 minute, liquid workout uses the resistance properties of shallow water coupled with Aqualogix Blades to define and tome areas of the body not possible through land-based fitness routines. Geared for 18 years +. Training is designed to target fitness components of agility, balance, coordination, speed and cardio capacity ** Please see registration desk for details.
